Their shoes are made from materials that are locally sourced in Europe near the family run factory in Spain. The brand also has high standards of ethical and environmental responsibility.

Sustainability isn’t a marketing fad when it comes to Birkenstock. Their company has strived on the importance of environmental protection and and environmentally friendly operations since the beginning. When it comes to materials, they only use ones that come from material sources, like cork, natural latex, jute, leather, wool felt, copper and brass.
