So crazy to think Mother’s Day is just around the corner. This year is really going by so fast! Anyway, I have put together a round up of some of my favourite sustainable Mother’s Day gift ideas. There are some things on here that I want for myself (the Samara bag and the vase). Read on to find out what I am sharing.
Sustainable Mother’s Day Gift Guide
Mom Candle– I am a huge fan of the Little Market. Got a lot of my Christmas presents from there. Their candles are made in the US with a coconut soy wax blend and essential oils. Each purchase empowers women artisans at Prosperity Candle who have resettled as refugees in the United States.
Multi-Colour Wine Glasses– These mouth blown wine glasses are made from recycled glass by Mexican artisans.
West Eau De Parfum– This clean fragrance is biodegradable and petrochemical-free and comes in an environmentally-friendly glass bottle sourced from an EcoCert supplier. The scent is bright and citrusy.
Origami Vase– This vase is made from vegetable and eco-responsible materials, bio-plastic corn and recycled wood.
The Classic – Most vegan leather bags are made from polyurethane, which is essentially plastic/petroleum that’s extremely made for the environment. Samara’s vegan leather bags are made from apples which I think is so cool!
Rose Agate Water Bottle – What’s more sustainable than a reusable water bottle. This gorgeous S’well water bottle can keep drinks cold up to 48 hours and hot up to 24 hours.
Cloud Loom Organic Robe– As someone who is in the need of a new robe because their dog shredded their current one (thanks Reika 🙄), this one is definitely on my list. It’s made from organic cotton with single loom loops to make it extra plush and thick!
Initial Heart Necklace– This beautiful chain heart necklace comes with 2 customizable hearts, more can be added as well! Perfect for adding initials of children. You can save 10% with code JENNIFERP10
Self-Care Gift Box– What better way to treat mom than with a little little pampering. This eco-friendly gift set includes a soy candle, herbal lotion bar, bamboo charcoal soap, kelp face mask and an exfoliating agave fibre washcloth!
Some other great sustainable Mother’s day gift ideas include biodegradable k-cups. I know so many people love their Keurig’s but those k-cups can be so wasteful. Flowers are also great. If you can, try to get some locally and have them wrapped in paper instead of plastic.
There are so many other sustainable options as well, like experiences. The item you give, doesn’t necessarily have to be tangible.
