This denim on denim outfit reminds me of happier times. Times where I was able to leave my house and go to coffee shops to work. My trip to L.A. back in February has definitely been the best part of 2020. Before the entire world went to shit. Even before all of this happened, January and part of February weren’t good.
Personally, I love a good all denim outfit or what I like to call it, a Canadian tuxedo. I got this chambray top from J.Crew with my birthday gift they gave me. I’ve owned a lot of chambray tops in my time and this one is by far the best one I’ve ever owned. It’s also probably the most expensive but so worth it. Especially with all the sales J.Crew has. The quality is amazing and it has a not to tight and not too loose fit. It’s also made from organic cotton and is sustainably made.
My jeans are from Sézane’s new denim collection. I got the perfect slim 7/8’s which are slightly shorter than their regular perfect slim. Basically they were made for us shorter girls. I still had to get mine hemmed though. This wash has more visible seams which I kinda like. It’s different. I also rolled them for a more cropped fit.
When I first posted this look on Instagram, I got a lot of comments about the headband. It’s actually a scarf that I rolled and was a free gift with purchase from Sézane so unfortunately I cannot link it. I really love the brown details of this outfit with my belt and shoes and even my scarf could fall into that category.
My loafers have become a staple in my closet. I’ve had them for a year and I’m definitely wearing them out. I’ll probably need to get a new pair next year!
