Address: R. Formosa 322, 4000-248 Porto, Portugal
Mercado do Bolhāo is a historic, bi-level market housed in a neoclassical building, with vendors selling produce, prepared foods, and other products such as jewelry and clothing.

The market is considered a jewel of Porto, the city’s most iconic, a municipal heritage and a monument of public interest. The building takes up an entire block in downtown Porto. The market first opened on September 18, 1839.
Mercado do Bolhāo is definitely a must-see in Porto. It was nice to walk around and see all of the vendors. Zayno and I didn’t buy anything, but we found a pretty spot to take pictures by the side stairs. It’s closed on Sundays, so make sure to plan your visit there accordingly.
