I discovered the sustainable Turkish brand, Bonneva, while looking for some outfits that Naz/Yaz wore in Gizli Saklı (my fav summer dizi). As you know, I have found quite a few of her outfits including the blue and white floral dress and the mini skirt and crop top. Bonneva actually had 2 of the outfits I was looking for and was so happy when I learned they were sustainable. Their tagline is literally “Respect for Future” and they are extremely transparent throughout their entire production process.

I ordered both of them matching sets. Unfortunately, UPS lost the first package somewhere in Germany, so we decided to have it shipped to my friend Penny’s place in Istanbul. When they found out I was coming to Istanbul, they invited me to stop by their showroom. Özge, the owner, was so nice. Some of the pieces that I had ordered, were too big and her team actually altered them for me. They pinned them while I was there and then they delivered them to my hotel the very next day.

Özge had me try on a couple of other different outfits when I was there! Some of them just weren’t my style, but then she had me try on the 3 piece set pictured below. Penny said I looked like a Greek goddess in it. Well, I had to get it after that! All 3 pieces, the skirt, top, and kimono-type wrap, were about $160 altogether.

Bonneva is definitely a sustainable brand I want to keep supporting. And not just because they are sustainable, but also because of how welcome they made me feel at the showroom and how they treated me. Cannot wait to buy more pieces in the future.
